About Us
Gyuto Foundation is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery located in East Richmond Heights, California. We are a charitable non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of Tibet’s living cultural and spiritual heritage. By offering public teachings and cultural programming, hosting local university students, and offering the paths and gardens of our monastery grounds as a public space, we preserve and promote Tibetan Buddhist culture.
Gyuto Foundation also supports charity programs for Himalayan children and provides community outreach to Tibetans living in the Bay Area and new immigrants.
Your contribution to the monastery is greatly appreciated. Your generosity will allow for continued development of this unique institution and for continued support of our local community. Thank You.
We are open to the general public seven days a week from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm. Hours may be extended for evening programs. We offer free secular meditation every Monday evening 7:00pm – 8:00pm. All are welcome!
