Local University and College Students

DSC04281We have local University students from all over the Bay Area, such as U.C. Berkeley, Santa Clara University, San Jose State University, Holy Names University, and Stanford University visit the center and discuss the Buddhist point of view in our society.  Students are also very interested to know more about Buddhist meditation and especially, Tibetan Buddhist studies.  Students are very interested in knowing about the monks' and nuns' life in the monastic communities and how they spend their time day to day.  Very often the students ask the monks why they became monks and what happens after we die.

We are very pleased to know that more and more local University students choose to visit the Gyuto Center and discuss with the resident monks Buddha’s teachings.  We welcome more students to visit the Center.
